Suppose you agree that 1D (transfer) - DOUBLE is takeout of hearts, what does advancer do if they would have made a penalty pass of a natural 1H opening bid? I can easily imagine advancer bidding a natural 1H and intervenor taking it as a cue-bid.thghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17162087157576931227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276785354801124344.post-88791991876785780132009-12-04T07:04:09.851+00:002009-12-04T07:04:09.851+00:00I have no problem with transfer openings. Or 1S-2D showing hearts as alluded to in earlier posts. The only opening that I see that one might have trouble with is the 1S opening in Moscito showing D or both minors (or similar). Then can just play X as a T/O of diamonds. Over the 1D/H openings, play X as a simple overcall in the suit, or maybe just card showing (probably better). A 1 level cue can be natural. All of this is possible, and very simple to do.

P.S. I stumbled across this blog while searching for 1M-2C relay, and the link to the structure seems to be no longer active, can that be re-posted please? Each partnership was limited to playing a certain number of points-worth of agreecments, presumably to prevent a round against them requiring too much preparation time, or being too intimidating.MickyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00175423928817757054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276785354801124344.post-53040341674376308192009-11-05T00:06:28.710+00:002009-11-05T00:06:28.710+00:00I agree with your comments elsewhere that it was t...I agree with your comments elsewhere that it was too much for these to go from "not permitted" to "permitted in nearly all EBU events" in one go. I didn't see the problem with level 4 only applying when rounds were of a certain length.

BTW, the 1NT opening shows both minors.MickyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00175423928817757054noreply@blogger.com
